Recap by phillip woo
Medic Elite found a midfield spot one off the fence and responded nicely to win going away from his rivals and register his second victory on his 30th start. He relished returning to Happy Valley after hitting the line well over an inadequate 1,400m trip 10 days earlier. Eagle Run tracked the speed from the widest draw, claimed the lead near the 1,200m pole and did not go down without a fight. His first race over 1,650m at the city circuit produced his best performance. Faithful Trinity handed up the lead in the early stages and kept on evenly to fill a placing. He is always a chance over this course and distance. Favourite Right Honourable had his chance but only plodded over the last 50m following his one-out, one-back run. He was the top-weighted galloper on his first start in Class Five. Regency Happy Star came from last to finish the next best. It was the finest of his six efforts. Perfect Rock did not land a blow after travelling towards the rear. Brother Pearl did not make an impact after settling near the back. He has done nothing once at each track in Class Five this season. He needs to fall further in the ratings.
