Recap by phillip woo
Cheerful Days took the short route home to take control 50m out after being ridden patiently at the rear from a wide draw to ring up a remarkable sixth win this term. He's really thriving this season and there's no reason why he can't win again. Telecom Fighters was given a nice ride in front but found one just too good after turning the final bend nearly two lengths on top. He's as honest as the day is long over this trip. Beauty Joy finished nicely to run a close third after being restrained to travel third last from a tricky gate. It was another solid effort after winning two of three runs. Savaquin ran on nicely from behind midfield to just miss a placing. He proved a return to form last start was not a fluke. Everyone's Delight stayed on all right after a one-off run better than midfield. He ran well but the rise in class proved too rich. Roman Turbo ran on reasonably well after biding his time one from the rear. It wasn't a bad run trying the Valley for the first time but prefer him in Class Three. Punted late, Sunny Star never let down after a deep run with cover among the backmarkers. He needed a stronger pace. Setanta was retreating 200m out after getting a lovely run in the box-seat. It was a disappointing run for his new trainer after showing potential to place in two of three Sha Tin runs.
