Recap by phillip woo
Firming to jump the odds-on favourite Beauty Generation got up near the 200m for the win after a perfectly-executed run one-out, one-back. He was ringing up a third straight win in the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup after tipping his hat with a better performance last time out. Ka Ying Star kept on well for second stalking the leader Hot King Prawn. He's capable of big runs but has trouble winning at this level. Hot King Prawn fought on well after dictating the run. It was a good effort trying the 1,400m for the first time. Thanks Forever came on well from near the back to grab fourth. It was another fine run. Second favourite Beat The Clock never landed a blow after making his run in midfield following a sluggish start. He had a rare off day. Rattan had no excuse following a box-seat run. He's a level below the best at 1,200m to a mile. Wishful Thinker never featured from the back. He's not good enough over the 1,400m at this level.
