Recap by phillip woo
Post-time favourite Travel First kept up a strong gallop for the win after getting away with soft fractions in front. The slow sections played into his hands but he was a Class Three horse in Class Four. Early favourite King's Man kept plugging away punching the breeze in second to just fend off Bring It On for the Quinella spot. It was a pleasing first run on the surface for Bring It On who was just failed to grab second following a box-seat run. He's racing well on both surfaces and can succeed at any moment. Lucky Shiny Day came from midfield to fill a Quartet spot. He's proving effective on both surfaces at a mile and 1,800m and has the tools to score shortly. Enjoyable Success came up one-paced after getting caught deep early on in a prominent spot. Good Fit made some ground after a deep run beyond midfield. He had the pace against him. Travelling underneath Good Fit in the run, Hay Run was another at the mercy of a slow pace.
