Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (165) - PANASONIC 4K TV HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
POWER MAN stumbled at the start and lost ground.
FLYING GODSPELL began awkwardly.
CAPTAIN BOSS shifted out at the start, resulting in JOYFUL CONTENDER losing ground when crowded onto DISTRICT EXPRESS which became badly unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by JOYFUL CONTENDER.
STARTLING POWER shifted out at the start, resulting in SWOT WINDICATOR being hampered and taken out onto NICE KICK which was bumped.
Passing the 900 Metres, SWOT WINDICATOR and NICE KICK bumped, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
Making the first turn near the 700 Metres, SWOT WINDICATOR commenced to race ungenerously and shifted out abruptly across the heels of NICE KICK, resulting in SWOT WINDICATOR being checked and losing ground.
MASSIVE MILLENNIUM, which was racing to the outside of SWOT WINDICATOR, was inconvenienced as a result of that horse shifting out.
After this, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM got its head on the side and lay out making the turn.
Close to the finishing line, ROYAL MOJITO was shifted out away from the heels of FLYING GODSPELL.
Throughout the race, NICE KICK travelled wide and without cover.
M Chadwick, the rider of 5th placegetter, GOLDEN EFFORT, pleaded guilty to a charge of having failed to ride his mount out all the way to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards [Rule 100(2)].
M Chadwick was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday, 2 December 2018 and to expire on Thursday, 6 December 2018 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays).
A veterinary inspection of CAPTAIN BOSS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
RIGHT CHOICE and FLYING GODSPELL were sent for sampling.

Newcomer Right Choice proved much too good 60m out despite coming on-and-off the bridle travelling deep in midfield to score as the post-time favourite. He's got more up his sleeves and is bred to handle a much longer trip. Flying Godspell stuck on well after taking over the lead from Golden Effort 150m out punching the breeze in second from a wide gate. Royal Mojito ran on steadily following a box-seat run to fill a placing. He's honest but has trouble saluting. Startling Power just got the better of Golden Effort following a prominent run for fourth. He did have to cover a bit of ground early on which hurt him late. Golden Effort wasn't beaten far in the end after going forward to lead from a wide gate. He's backed up reasonably well following a win in Class Five. Massive Millennium ran on without menacing from near the back. Nick Kick didn't fire after covering a tonne of ground behind midfield. He had excuses.
