Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (765)-LAI CHI CHONG HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 3 - 1200Metres
HAPPY SURVEYS was slow to begin.Shortly after the start, LOADED was steadied away from the heels of FORTUNE BO BO which shifted in after being bumped by BOND ELEGANCE.
DOUBLE VALENTINE and LUCKY DOUBLE EIGHT were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Passing the 900 Metres, G-ONE LOVER was shifted out away from the heels of CHEER WIN which was awkwardly placed outside the heels of BOND ELEGANCE.
GRACYDAD travelled wide and without cover until near the 700 Metres.
For some distance approaching and passing the 500 Metres, TOP ACT got its head on the side and lay out towards the heels of RACING MATE when reluctant to maintain its position inside that horse.
Near the 30 Metres, CHEER WIN shifted in and brushed FORTUNE BO BO.
For the majority of the race, CHEER WIN travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY DOUBLE EIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FORTUNE BO BO and CHEER WIN were sent for sampling.

Favourite Fortune Bo Bo was headed 130m out by Cheer Win after being softened on the lead by Gracydad 750m out but fought back to get the bob down when it counted for a second win over the 1,000m at both tracks from his past three starts. He'll find it harder at the top of the class when next stepping out. Cheer Win was very game in defeat after hitting the front 130m out despite a handy run without cover the entire trip from a wide gate. You can pencil him in for a future win or two. G-One Lover was caught without cover four deep until the 700m and kept coming late to fill a placing with money coming for him late at big odds. He can pop up at times over this course but is a better chance at Sha Tin. Peace N Prosperity had no-excuse following a box-seat run. He's placed with every chance in his past two runs but might need the help of a claimer's allowance. Double Valentine made some ground after trailing the field. It was only his second start in Hong Kong and fourth overall after starting out in Ireland and he might be one to keep safe next season when stepping up in distance with a few more miles underneath his belt.
