Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (761)-LET ME FIGHT HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres
IMPERIAL ROME was slow to begin.KING DERBY was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded for rom between ROCKET LET WIN and FLYING TOURBILLON which shifted out.
In the early stages, ROCKET LET WIN and FLYING ELITE were steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Approaching the 800 Metres, MR GINGER shifted out and made contact with REAL SUPREME which got its head on the side and shifted in away from SHADOWFAXE.
Approaching the 700 Metres, SHARP HUNTER was left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 400 Metres, IMPERIAL ROME was awkwardly placed close to the heels of YOURTHEWONFORME.
Rounding the Home Turn, YOURTHEWONFORME was shifted in abruptly away from the heels of SHADOWFAXE when that horse commenced to give ground.
In this incident, YOURTHEWONFORME shifted in and bumped KING DERBY which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of WHO'STHEDUDE.
IMPERIAL ROME had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight when awkwardly placed close to the heels of REAL SUPREME.
Over the concluding stages, YOURTHEWONFORME raced in restricted room between WHO'STHEDUDE (K C Leung) and REAL SUPREME which lay in.
After the race, K C Leung reported that he was not able to ride his mount out close to the finishing line as he received a precautionary call from the rider of the horse positioned outside WHO'STHEDUDE.
A veterinary inspection of SHADOWFAXE immediately following the race revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils and also to be distressed.
As this was the third occasion on which SHADOWFAXE was found to have bled, that horse will be compulsorily retired.
A veterinary inspection of SHARP HUNTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SHADOWFAXE, FLYING TOURBILLON and IMPERIAL ROME were sent for sampling.

Flying Tourbillon settled with cover one off the fence behind midfield, swung the final bend with three wider out and let down nicely to run down Mr Ginger approaching the 100m for a first win. Imperial Rome bided his time third from the rear and one off the rails, rallied four deep upon straightening and finished nicely to grab second 20m out. Mr Ginger punched through along the inside to lead from favourite Shadowfaxe at the 650m, established a length margin mid-straight and kept up a good gallop for a placing. King Derby ran on steadily near the inside after travelling second from the rear following a slow break to grab a Quartet spot. Who'sthedude was handy along the rails, inched closer three deep approaching the final bend, moved to second 200m out and peaked on his run 100m out. Hearts Keeper kept grinding away without menacing with two wider out following a one-off run fore of midfield. Real Supreme eased back to settle effectively one-out, one-back, rounded the final bend five deep and only held his ground in the run to the wire. Shadowfaxe stopped badly 250m out after rolling forward out deep from a wide gate to briefly lead one off the fence at the 950m.
