Renaissance Art settled behind midfield along the rails, came one off at the 200m and ran down favourite Ensuring in the final 10m for a second straight win in his first Valley start. Ensuring settled one off the rails in midfield, pulled three deep at the 800m, made his move 500m out, hit the front 120m out and found one too smart in the end. Well-punted at the jump, Supreme Fresh worked to the front from an outside gate, cornered two lengths on top and grudgingly gave way despite setting a strong tempo. Monsieur Mogok was ridden for luck from a wide gate, swung the final bend widest out and finished willingly to make it a bob of heads for third. Jolly Gene plugged on without menacing following a one-off run fore of midfield. Admiral Lord made some ground from near the back in a pleasing return to the races following a tendon injury. Executive Mandate punched the breeze in second, swung the final bend four deep and was stopping 200m out. Autumn Gold had every chance following a box-seat run.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine: (513)-GLORY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Metres

From a wide barrier, MONSIEUR MOGOK was shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.

Also shortly after the start, JOLLY GENE was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of AUTUMN GOLD.

After the 800 Metres, ENSURING shifted out away from the heels of JOLLY GENE after being awkwardly placed behind that horse.

This resulted in ENSURING being left racing wide and without cover.

Near the 450 Metres, WRATH OF FIRE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of JOLLY GENE.

After the 300 Metres, AUTUMN GOLD raced tight inside JOLLY GENE which lay in under pressure.

A veterinary inspection of EXECUTIVE MANDATE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

RENAISSANCE ART and ENSURING were sent for sampling.
