The CrossFit Games individual events are underway again after a day of rest. The competitors took to the field on Wednesday, rested on Thursday and are hitting the competition floor again today, Friday.

Pre-Games favourite Tia-Clair Toomey lived up to her expectations by winning three of the four events on day one, and coming second in the other. She holds a commanding lead and looks set to ease to her fifth, record equaling, CrossFit Games title.

On the men’s side, in the absence of recently retired five-time champion Mat Fraser, it is anyone’s game. There were four winners from the first four events. Brent Fikowski is sitting top of the overall leaderboard despite not winning one of the events.
