The winless Philadelphia Flyers sacked head coach Peter Laviolette just three games into the regular season, the National Hockey League club announced Monday.

Assistant coach Craig Berube will replace Laviolette as the coach of the Flyers who dropped to 0-3 with Sunday’s 2-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Flyers have scored just once in each of their three losses.

It’s the fastest coaching change in the NHL since 1969 when the Detroit Red Wings replaced Bill Gadsby after just two games.
