ONE Championship: Rodtang Jitmuangnon gets engaged to fiancée with 2 title fights on calendar
- ONE flyweight Muay Thai king is set to marry his fiancée Aida Looksaikongdin, also a professional fighter
- ‘The Iron Man’ also has kickboxing title shot against Superlek Kiatmoo9 and a Muay Thai title defence against Edgar Tabares
It’s shaping up to be a busy year for ONE Championship’s Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
The 25-year-old Thai, who has already tallied one victory this year, now has two title fights on the calendar, and will carve out space in his hectic competitive schedule to marry his fiancée Aida Looksaikongdin.
He announced his engagement to Aida, who is also a professional fighter, on social media this week.
Rodtang is ONE’s flyweight Muay Thai champion, and has already defended his title four times. His wife to be, Aida, does not compete for ONE Championship, but notably lost a split decision to two-fight ONE veteran Marie Ruumet last year.
“The Iron Man” was most recently in action at ONE Fight Night 6 in Bangkok early last month, when he defeated China’s Jiduo Yibu by unanimous decision in a kickboxing clash.
That victory was enough to earn him a crack at ONE flyweight kickboxing king Superlek Kiatmoo9. The two champions are slated to meet at ONE Fight Night 8 on March 25 in Singapore.
