“The Mongolian Murderer” Aori Qileng has blasted “disgusting coward” Cody Durden for making a racially charged comment after their flyweight fight at UFC Vegas 43 on Saturday night.
The 30-year-old American (12-3-1) had stunned UFC commentator Daniel Cormier into silence during his post-fight interview after his unanimous decision win at the promotion’s Apex facility.
“I knew he was going to be tough, but I had to send him back to China where he came from,” Durden said inside the Octagon.
He later said “nah, it’s all good” when asked in a backstage media scrum if there were any racial connotations to his words, but UFC China Academy graduate Aori (18-9) was left angry.

“I destroyed this coward in the cage, but the judges gave him a chance to say something disgusting through his disgusting mouth,” Aori said in a post on his Instagram account.”
“He can do nothing in the fight, and I saw fear through his eyes. He is a coward,” added the 28-year-old, who slipped to a second-straight defeat since debuting in the UFC in April.


Durden’s post-fight comments sparked a backlash from several fighters on social media, but he refused to take the words back and defended himself when speaking to reporters.
“If they don’t like it, you know, do something. Sign the contract, it doesn’t matter to me,” he said. “I said what I said and it is what it is. And yeah, emotions were high.
“It’s the fight business, you know? He’s punching me in the face and I’m punching him in the face. It’s his family or mine and tonight my family eats.”

Durden later tweeted that he felt disrespected because Aori did not shake his hand at Friday’s weigh-ins, when they face-off for the media.
“After beating him, I simply meant he could go home wherever that may have been,” wrote Durden, who celebrated his first victory in the UFC.
“I apologise if I offended anyone, that certainly was not my intention!! I love you all!! See you at the top.”

However, a number of controversial previous tweets from Durden – which have since been deleted – quickly resurfaced.
“I bleed red, white, and blue. I can’t wait to dominate communist Qileng,” he wrote this month.
Durden appeared to use the N-word in a series of deleted posts from 2012. The same year, he also tweeted “Once you go Asian, you never miss an equation”, and “Pregnant Chinese women stomach be looking like they’re hiding Dragon Balls baby gonna come out looking like Goku”.
