ONE: NextGen II, the latest event from Asian martial arts powerhouse ONE Championship, took place on Friday and it did not disappoint, with four finishes in six fights.

One of the more notable performances came from Chinese featherweight Tang Kai, who picked up a first-round TKO victory over South Korea’s Yoon Chang Min in the co-main event.

The end came after Tang zapped his rival with a lightning-quick left hook and followed up with a tempest of ground strikes.

In victory, the Shaoyang native improved to an impressive 13-2 overall, and extended his current win streak to eight straight. More importantly, the win could earn Tang a spot in ONE’s crowded featherweight top five, where fights with the division’s other contenders, and perhaps even a crack at reigning champion Thanh Le, could await.

Not long after Tang’s impressive victory, debuting Thai Rittewada picked up a second-round TKO win over his highly regarded countryman Saemapetch in the evening’s headliner, a clash of bantamweight Muay Thai contenders.

Unfortunately, the finish was somewhat disappointing, as officials were forced to stop the action because of an elbow-induced cut rather than a knockout blow.

Elsewhere on the card, there was a huge win from former Pancrase welterweight champion Hiroyuki Tetsuka, who stunned past ONE welterweight title challenger Agilan Thani with a third-round TKO.
