The 28-year-old Czech will now surely get a crack at the winner between Polish champ Jan Blachowicz and Brazilian veteran Glover Teixeira, who are scheduled to fight at UFC 266 in September.

It’s been a stunning rise to the top for “Denisa”, the former champion in Rizin who stands on the brink of UFC gold after just two fights in the promotion, having knocked out another former challenger in Volkan Oezdemir last July on his debut.

“I will buy some expensive car and crash it or something,” Prochazka said, laughing, at Saturday night’s post event press conference inside the UFC’s Apex facility.

“No, I don’t know. I need to pay money for my house still. And after that, sometimes yeah I like the money, my ego, to have everything – the girls, the cars, the expensive ships and the big parties.

“But the other side for myself wants to live just in the forest, in the small house, and practise day by day, just practise going for the mastery, nothing else. I think that’s the most realest thing inside me.”
