ONE Championship: Reug Reug accused of ‘acting’ in TKO loss as Kirill Grishenko praises ‘rational decision’
- Grishenko lands shot at the bell to signal end of second round, with Oumar Kane protesting it was late and being tended to by medical team for minutes
- Senegalese star goes for checks at hospital in Singapore but some fans on social media feel he feigned injury and looked for DQ win at ONE on TNT 4

Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane’s hot start to life in ONE Championship suffered a bizarre road bump on Thursday morning in Singapore.
The fan-favourite Senegalese heavyweight (3-1) suffered his first defeat in MMA after a confusing finish to his ONE on TNT 4 main card bout against Kirill Grishenko (4-0).
The Belarusian caught his opponent with a right hand at the bell – one Kane immediately protested was illegal, and argued had come after the end of the round.
Kane fell to canvas of the Circle and lay on his back for several minutes being tended to by the cageside medical team at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, while officials reviewed the footage. Grishenko was eventually awarded a TKO at 5:00 of the second round.
“To be honest with you, even after the fight I came to my room and I replayed what happened during the fight, when I saw that both of us punched at the same time during the bell, I guess before the bell,” Grishenko told SCMP MMA on a post-event media scrum.
