Anderson Silva sent his best wishes to Chris Weidman after the American’s horror leg injury at UFC 261.

Weidman (15-6) reportedly suffered a double compound leg break after Uriah Hall (18-9) checked the first kick he threw on Saturday night in Jacksonville, 17 seconds into their main card bout.

The Brazilian former UFC middleweight champion Silva had suffered a broken left tibia in a similar incident against Weidman at UFC 168 in December 2013.

“My deepest and most sincere sentiments champ,” wrote “The Spider” in an Instagram post. “Have faith, I wish you a speedy recovery.

“In this moment I wish you and your family light, love and knowledge. To the fans of the sport, please respect this moment of this incredible warrior and let’s wish that he is 100 per cent very recovered soon. May God bless you and your family @chrisweidman.”
