The 31-year-old Anderson (11-4) was originally set to receive her first title opportunity in her promotional debut at UFC 214 in 2017, but personal issues got in the way of her and Cris “Cyborg” Justino colliding.

Cyborg would go on to be crowned the inaugural UFC featherweight champ that night, and hold the title until Brazil’s Nunes (20-4) came along in December 2018.
