Dana White appears to be inching towards making Fight Island a reality, but the UFC president said it has most definitely come at a cost.

White, speaking on an episode of Talk The Talk with Eddie Hearn and Tony Bellew, said he plans on hosting the first event on June 27, however did not release any details to its whereabouts.

“Let me tell you about Fight Island,” said White on the show. “Fight Island is so [expletive] expensive, and so [expletive] crazy and almost impossible to pull off.

“I mean, when you’re talking about planes, and flying people in, and the restrictions ... you know, you have to quarantine people, and all these things that we’re going through. It’s [expletive] insane to be even trying to do this.”

White has already pulled off four UFC fight cards (without fans) during the global pandemic, with a fifth scheduled for this weekend. UFC 250 will feature Amanda Nunes defending her women’s featherweight title against Felicia Spencer in the headline bout at the company’s headquarters in Las Vegas.
