UFC: Joanna Jedrzejczyk to undergo surgery – and reveals Zhang Weili asked to train with her

After a few days to reflect on her war for the ages with Zhang Weili, Joanna Jedrzejczyk is on the mend – and already looking to get a rematch for the UFC strawweight title.
The pair put on a future Hall of Fame fight in the co-main event of UFC 248, with Zhang taking a split decision. Both fighters’ faces were bloodied and bruised by the end, but former champion Jedrzejczyk’s significantly more.
“I feel great, I feel good,” she told TMZ Sports. “Calm, quiet, surrounded by good people who love me so much, my family. I just need a few more days to be back to myself. I’m not sad, I’m just happy. Just resting, recovering my body. I cut myself [off] a little bit from the media, and what’s going around, I feel good, man.
The Pole had a huge hematoma on her forehead, a busted nose and swelling all over her face following five brutal rounds at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas,
“Oh honestly, I couldn’t see for two days,” she said. “I got bruises on my forehead very much. Now I can see, my whole face has improved. There is no swelling on my forehead, more on my cheeks and my neck. It’s going down. It’s much better.
