One of the more interesting subplots from an eventful UFC 248 fight week was the cage-side bust-up between “The Korean Zombie” Jung Chan-sung and Brian Ortega on Saturday night.

The two have history – Jung accused Ortega of “ducking” him after withdrawing injured from their UFC Busan fight in December. The American did not take kindly to the comments given to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, which were translated by Korean rapper Jay Park.

Ortega had warned Park “don’t let me see you” and promised to slap him if he did. So perhaps it wasn’t a surprise when the American did just that in the fighters’ section at the T-Mobile Arena.

“Last night, you sat 10 metres away from me and Jay Park. For two hours nothing happened, so I thought everything was fine,” an angry Jung wrote on Instagram. “But you f****** attacked Jay Park while I went to the bathroom.”

Ortega was escorted to another section of the arena by security, and UFC president Dana White expressed his bemusement at the whole episode, before confirming he would like to match the two fighters up again.
