What a night this was.

First the UFC threw up perhaps the best women’s title fight in history as Zhang Weili outlasted – somehow – former champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk to hold on to her strawweight belt.

Then the UFC threw up perhaps the worst men’s title bout in history as Israel Adesanya turned up to defend his middleweight crown against Cuba’s Yoel Romero, who suddenly simply didn’t look like he wanted to fight.

Then it was revealed at the post-event press conference that – somehow, caught up by all the weirdness – two of the most passive guys on the UFC’s roster (outside the cage) got into a fight (outside the cage).

The “Korean Zombie” Jung Chan-sung and American Brian Ortega were seated in the fighter’s area cageside and someone said something to someone as tempers frayed, and the two went at it, before being separated.

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reported that Korean rapper Jay Park, who is friends with Jung and accompanied him to the event, told him he was approached by Ortega when Jung went to the bathroom. Park said Ortega asked if he was Jay Park. Park said he replied yes, and then that Ortega slapped him with an open palm.
