UFC: Dustin Poirier’s hilarious answer to what he would do differently in Khabib Nurmagomedov rematch – bring ‘a pistol’

UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier offered a hilarious answer after an online fan asked what he would like to have in a rematch of his lightweight unification fight with champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

“The Diamond” (25-6) has been doing regular Q&As on Twitter as he recovers from hip surgery sustained during his third-round rear-naked choke loss to the undefeated Dagestani in September.

“A pistol,” answered Poirier, who expects to a return to the Octagon in April.

UFC boss Dana White also announced that Nurmagomedov (28-0) is to defend his belt against contender Tony Ferguson in UFC 249 in April.

Poirier also shared his predictions for the Khabib vs Ferguson fight, which has been cancelled four times in the past due to injuries and weight-cut complications.

“Khabib [will win]... I don't believe [Ferguson will] submit Khabib from his back,” when asked to justify Ferguson's dangerous and unpredictable jiu-jitsu game from guard.
