Superlek Kiatmoo9 insists he has “nothing against” Rodtang Jitmuangnon despite the flyweight Muay Thai king arranging a seminar tour of the US after he withdrew injured from their ONE Championship title fight.

Rodtang was criticised by Superlek’s training partner, the former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title challenger Liam Harrison, for announcing his April tour just days after cancelling the ONE Fight Night 8 main event in Singapore.

“This guy is [something] else,” the UK’s Harrison tweeted. But Superlek took a more diplomatic view.

“No, I don’t have anything against him because he really is injured and his schedule on the seminars is a separate thing,” Superlek said. “I know he has hurt his body, so it’s OK.”

Rodtang was set to challenge “The Kicking Machine” for the ONE flyweight kickboxing title on Saturday morning, but withdrew from the highly anticipated bout with a lower back injury on Monday.
