ONE Championship: former UFC star John Lineker will make Muay Thai debut at ONE 168

Former UFC star John Lineker will make his Muay Thai debut at ONE 168.

The Brazilian is booked to take on Asa Ten Pow at the Ball Arena on September 6.

Lineker is better known for his exploits as a mixed martial artist. He won 12 fights out of 16 competing in the UFC’s flyweight and bantamweight divisions but was released from the promotion after repeatedly failing to make weight.

He went on to sign for ONE Championship and won the bantamweight title in his third fight, stopping former champion Bibiano Fernandes in the second round.

He went on to lose the belt to fellow Brazilian Fabricio Andrade, and is coming off a loss to Shinya Aoki.

While Lineker has the bigger reputation, Ten Pow is much more experienced in Muay Thai terms.
