More than 10 local athletes are currently in Shenzhen trying to complete their third and last week of quarantine before travelling to Xian for the 14th edition of the Games.,

Originally, the athletes were supposed to spend a two-week quarantine in designated hotels before moving to home confinement – if they could find one – for another week to complete the whole process.

But after successful negotiations between Hong Kong and Shenzhen officials, the athletes are now allowed to move on to a training centre in Longguan district for their final week of quarantine.
