Time is ticking down until the start of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Just weeks after Olympics fever gripped the city, Hong Kong’s Paralympians are soon to be in action in Japan chasing medals of their own.
Once again the Hong Kong government has ensured that the city’s residents do not have to miss out on the Games by stepping in to secure broadcast rights.
So how do you watch the Paralympics? Here are the channels that are showing it.

Television users can tune in on RTHK Channel 32 starting with the Opening Ceremony on August 24.
Coverage of the kick-off extravaganza at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium begins at 6.50pm on Tuesday before a fortnight of sporting excellence ensues.
How much money will Hong Kong Paralympians win compared to Olympic medallists?
RTHK coverage on Wednesday will be divided into two sessions – the first runs from 7.55am to 2.30pm with the second running from 2.55pm to 8.23pm.
Broadcasts continue from 7.55am on the following days with live coverage split over RTHK Channel 31 and Channel 32, plus highlights through the night.
Now Sports 5 (channel 635) is also starting its coverage with the Opening Ceremony while the free Now Sports Prime (channel 630) is running highlights throughout the Games and is available online.

Similarly, i-Cable’s Sports Plus HD (channel 601) starts its coverage with the Opening Ceremony and has broadcasts scheduled throughout.
HK Open TV has also got the Opening Ceremony scheduled and will be live streaming it, just as they will the rest of their coverage.
For those in Hong Kong who still subscribe to television services back home they can watch coverage from overseas using a VPN.
Tokyo Paralympics: the athletes and teams to watch
Channel 4 in Britain, Canada’s CBC, NBC in the US and Australia’s Seven all have in-depth coverage of the 2020 Games.
Technically, TVB and ViuTV are also entitled to broadcast the Paralympics but so far they have no programmes scheduled. That may change.
