Last week Happy Valley coach Pau Ka-yiu made comments about female referee Law’s fitness following a 3-3 draw with Pegasus. On Saturday, Southern fans reportedly chanted for him to be sacked, shouting “Fire Pau Ka-yiu” at Mong Kok Stadium.

Happy Valley’s director of football Poon Man-tik then spoke to the media after the match regarding an official complaint to the Hong Kong Football Association alleging sexual harassment from both coach Pau and player Lam Hin-ting.

Poon acknowledged that he expected a ban for Lam from the HKFA and that the club would discipline him further but only after the disciplinary committee meets on April 6.

“What is wrong is wrong, no matter what. He is still a young man and we must teach him to mature,” Poon said of Lam.
