They will face Lee Man at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground on Friday evening with an 8pm kick-off.

Two games follow on Saturday of the opening weekend as KC Southern take on Hoi King at Aberdeen (2.30pm) before Dreams v Pegasus at Tsing Yi (5.30pm).

The opening weekend rounds off with Yuen Long against Tai Po at Yuen Long (2.30pm) before former AFC Women’s Coach of the Year in 2016 Chan Yuen-ting starts her second stint as Eastern boss with a match against R&F at Hong Kong Stadium.

The assumption is clearly that Hong Kong’s team will not be in the final of the Asian Games, otherwise the schedule could prove disruptive to early season plans.
