Liverpool came out the winners of an all-English Premier League match to decide the Uefa Champions League and Reds fans have lauded the six-time European champions.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has come in for praise after guiding the team to two finals in a row.
The German took over three years ago and ended a 15-year wait for a Uefa Champions League final last season.
Liverpool’s full back Trent Alexander-Arnold was praised by Uefa as “living the dream”.
The 20-year-old has appeared in back to back finals and now has his first winner’s medal.

The Scottish FA were quick to congratulate their captain Andy Robertson.
Liverpool’s left back was greeted with the message, “Andy Robertson, Champions League winner.

Belgian side Club Brugge, who were beaten by Liverpool in the 1978 European Cup final, congratulated the Reds while also offering commiserations to Spurs.
“We feel you @SpursOfficial. Also, congrats on the #UCLfinal win, @LFC,” they wrote on Twitter.
The Reds got the early breakthrough thanks to a Mo Salah penalty.

The Egyptian fired home barely a minute into the game, the second-fastest goal scored in a Uefa Champions League final, after referee Damir Skomina had awarded a penalty for handball against Moussa Sissoko inside the first 30 seconds.
His story of redemption was mentioned by the BBC’s Match of the Day.

Salah went off injured in last year’s final.
But this year he netted the opener after Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane crossed the ball during his team’s first attack and it hit Sissoko on the chest and then the arm at close quarters.
The Egypt striker ignored the controversy to smash home from 12 yards, lashing the ball past France’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
