Chinese diver Chen Yuxi made it two wins in as many World Cup legs by again turning the tables on her rival and synchronised partner Quan Hongchan in Canada on Saturday.

Chen had to settle for individual silver behind Quan at the past two Olympics in the 10-metre platform event, but has reversed the order in that discipline over the past two weekends.

Having beaten Quan in Guadalajara a week earlier, she bettered her once more in Windsor to kick-start her new season.

“Thank you to all my fans and their huge support,” said Chen, who teamed up with Quan to claim Olympic synchro gold last year in Paris. “Thank you to World Aquatics for giving me the opportunity and this stage to show myself in the World Cup.

“I will continue to work hard in the future and hope to achieve more good results.”

Olympic champion Quan led the pack of 12 divers after her first three dives, with Chen second, 18.05 points behind.
