Ex-NFL star Antonio Brown has threatened to sue YouTuber Logan Paul for “[infraction] for using my image” as rumours of the pair’s boxing bout continue.

Brown, who was sacked from the New England Patriots due to an ongoing NFL investigation into allegations of rape and sexual assault, took issue with Paul for using his name in his video content.

“Hey listen someone tell Logan Paul to stop using my name in videos or I’ll fight him for real. Not like a boxing match, a street match I’ll just show up and knock him out. Boom. KO,” Brown said in an Instagram Live re-uploaded onto YouTube.

The video came after Brown and Paul were involved in a heated confrontation at a boxing event after-party featuring Paul’s brother Jake Paul and fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib in late January. Brown was accompanied by rapper Rick Ross.

Brown later asked his Twitter fans if he should fight Paul for US$4.1 million “with possibly 8.2 million raise” and donate the proceeds to charity. Paul, whose only professional boxing experience is from his loss to YouTuber KSI in November 2019, responded that he would match the donation.

A series of Brown vs Paul mock-up posters have since circulated on social media and Brown is not happy.
