Manny Pacquiao is used to schooling much younger boxers in the ring. But now the Filipino icon is the one who will be taking the lessons – in the classroom.

The 40-year-old fighting senator revealed in an Instagram post on Friday he had enrolled at the University of Makati in Manila.

The eight-division world champion proudly showed off his student ID card, accompanied with a picture featuring a trademark smile.

“Never stop learning because life never stops teaching,” said Pacquiao, who became the oldest welterweight champion in history by beating Keith Thurman in Las Vegas in July.

Listed under his full name, Emmanuel D. Pacquiao, “Pacman” is studying for a Political Science bachelor of arts degree in local government administration.
