Great Britain’s Tom Daley and Matty Lee took gold in the men’s synchronised 10m platform event to end China’s diving Dream Team’s hopes of a clean sweep at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Monday.
The Britons finished with a total score of 471.81 points, edging out China’s two-time gold medallists Chen Aisen and Cao Yuan by just 1.23 points.

The Russian pair of Aleksandr Bondar and Viktor Minibaev took bronze with 439.92.

“I’m just so proud of you for holding that together,” Daley, 27, told Lee in an interview with the BBC. “I felt I was going to crumble at so many points in the competition.
