A former president of the Hong Kong Dental Association was acquitted by the Dental Council yesterday of having certain international qualifications that the council does not recognise appear in an article he wrote.
In December 1997, Dr William Wong Wing-bill wrote an article for the sixth edition of the Medical and Dental Directory of Hong Kong. The preface stated his academic qualifications: BSc, FICD (Fellow of the International College of Dentists) and FICCDE (Fellow of the International College of Continuing Dental Education).
