School supervisor Mr Cowen Chiu thanked Sinopec Hong Kong for its generous donation. “As a secondary school with a strong focus on developing students’ physical fitness, the Hong Kong Sea School has long aspired to a comprehensive, indoor physical training centre so that students can spend their precious time and energy on systematic physical training,” He remembers that teachers and students rejoiced at the news when Sinopec pushed for the installation of the training hub.

Sinopec has long been a staunch supporter of the Hong Kong Sea School. The opening of Sinopec Training Hub at the school is the latest example of its involvement. Previously, Sinopec Hong Kong sponsored some 50 students from the Hong Kong Sea School for a cultural tour to visit its headquarters in Beijing in the summer of last year. In addition, it has donated 700 sets of winter uniforms to all the students at the school, providing them with warmth and support.

In addition to a machine capable of providing detailed insights into various aspects of one’s body composition, there are items specialised in strengthening one’s cardiovascular performance, developing core strength and stability, building muscle power, and improving exercise postures. If that is not enough, the hub also features connected devices so students can pit against their fellow in a game of physical strength, in the hub itself, or anywhere else in the world with similar connected devices.
As demonstrated by cheerful students on the day, thanks to the support of Sinopec, the students at the Hong Kong Sea School will cherish the fact that physical fitness training can be scientific, systematic, and fun.
