"We are different from competitors because we deliver truly door-to-door," says Vittorio Tarchi, executive director and founder of VISA. "And when we say door-to-door, we mean we do not subcontract any portion of the supply chain."
VISA has 35 offices all over the world, including nine on the mainland and in Hong Kong. A strategic partnership with local businessman Edward Yao has been instrumental in achieving the goal of managing every step of VISA's customised delivery process, avoiding reliance on middlemen.
VISA uses its own information technology (IT) platform, Onetrack, to monitor timely progress and ensure quality. A real-time management and reporting platform, Onetrack provides customers with the ability to track freight along the delivery chain anywhere and anytime.
"We always put our customers first, and our goal is to build long-term relationships with them," Tarchi says. With this dedication to customers' needs, VISA has earned a reputation for quality service and a base of loyal customers, some of whom have patronised VISA for the past 25 years and longer.
Aside from sea and air freight forwarding, VISA offers customs brokerage, full container wharf transport, warehousing and distribution. Accredited by the International Air Transport Association, VISA handles all types of cargo, from valuable goods to fast-moving consumer goods such as furniture, power tools and other goods.
