Matilda is about a girl with remarkable superpowers who overcomes challenges in her life.

The story begins when a little child named Matilda is born. Although she loves books, her family dislikes learning. She also faces the mean and harsh Miss Trunchbull, who hates children. When a student misbehaves and chews gum in class, Miss Trunchbull swings the misbehaving child around like a windmill. As Matilda thinks of a way to defeat the dangerous Miss Trunchbull, the teacher’s fury worsens. She locks the school bully in the “Chokey”, a tall, narrow cupboard lined with sharp rails.

One day, she visits Matilda’s class. When she sees a lizard in a jug, she is petrified. She accuses Matilda of putting the animal into the jug, but Matilda hasn’t done it.

Matilda’s fury becomes a ball of heat shooting from her bulging eyes. That heat transforms into a laser beam, knocking over the jug with the lizard. This shows that Matilda possesses a telekinetic ability.

Will she defeat Miss Trunchbull? Will Miss Trunchbull be punished? Read the book to find out.

This book is excellent and full of thrilling twists. The author uses vivid and colourful language to capture the reader’s curious attention.
