Letters from readers: Hong Kong needs show promoting inventions and startups, favourite foods and panda twins
This week, readers tell us why the city should have its own version of ‘Shark Tank’, the foods they love to eat and celebrate our new panda residents

Thinking about Covid-19 reminds me of binging episodes of Shark Tank because of the interesting discussions and nail-baiting negotiations.
It inspired me to see the young entrepreneurs present their inventions. It motivated me to start a mini-comic company with two friends.
Hong Kong should have its own version of the show, focusing on profitable startups that address social issues.

I eat a lot of food. I like noodles, chicken, biscuits and crisps because they are delicious. Chicken is soft, biscuits and crisps are crunchy. I like noodles because I like long-shaped food.
I don’t like ice cream, durian, butter or lemons. Ice cream is too sweet, durian is bitter, lemons are too sour, and butter is too plain!
How about you? What foods do you like and dislike?
Connie Chan (Aged 9), Santa Rosa de Lima English Secondary School
I think the new panda twins in Hong Kong are great for two reasons. First, it is rare to have twin baby pandas. Second, we can have fun telling people about them. We should use the opportunity to congratulate the panda parents on their twins!
