Noelle Lui’s top pick: 30,000 Miles from Changan

I recently watched the animated film 30,000 Miles from Changan with my family.

The movie is about the friendship between the legendary Chinese poets Li Bai and Gao Shi, and it is set against the backdrop of the rise and fall of the Tang dynasty’s capital, Changan.

I was inspired by the characters’ talents and by the bond between them. I also learned about the beauty of the poems that were recited throughout the film. We also had the chance to appreciate traditional Chinese culture on the big screen.

Watching the film made me want to read all of the poems with my friends at school.
