Humans have caused many species to disappear, so we should try our best to take care of the animals that are still here

Difficulty: Explorer (Level 1)
Keeping our planet healthy means making sure our animal friends are healthy, too! But sadly, due to climate change and humans, many animals are endangered. This means they are at risk of dying out.
The biggest reason for this is habitat loss. Many animals are losing the space where they live. Losing their homes means there is nowhere for them to feel safe and reproduce. It is often because of human intervention. Humans cut down trees in the rainforest, build cities and skyrises, spread disease, and pollute the planet.
One of the best ways to protect animals is to be environmentally aware. We must stay educated about climate change and saving animals.
Birdseed ornaments
Materials
-
½ cup of peanut butter (no added oil, salt or sugar)
-
½ cup of birdseed
-
cling-wrap
Instructions
-
Mix the peanut butter with the birdseed.
-
Scoop a small portion of the mixture onto the cling wrap and roll it into a ball or any shape you choose. Then, put the cling wrap over it to secure it. Do this until there is no more mixture left.
-
After letting it sit, carefully open the cling wrap and place the balls on a tray to dry for a few hours.
-
Once all the balls of birdseed mixture have dried, leave them outside for animals and birds to munch on!
