Every year, the town of Olney in England has a pancake race. According to legend, the race started in 1445 when a busy housewife arrived at church still clutching her frying pan with a pancake in it.

Inspired by her, people nowadays run the same route, but the runners must flip the pancake at the start and finish. There is a children’s race before the one for adults.
