Miss Thailand just won the national costume section of Miss Universe. Guess what she’s supposed to be

Viewers of the Miss Universe pageant have voted for the unusual outfit worn by Thailand’s Aniporn Chalermburanawong as the pageant’s best national costume.

Aniporn took to the stage dressed as a tuk-tuk, in a costume that featured flashing headlights.

As for the swimsuit competition, viewers voting online say contestants from the Philippines and Colombia wore their bikinis best.

The ongoing show on Sunday was being held inside the Planet Hollywood hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Results of the main pageant were expected before noon Monday, Hong Kong time.

For the first time, viewers at home are casting votes making them equal to a fifth judge determining the final result.
