The withdrawal appeared as a low-key update on a government tracking website on Friday, though the proposal had been formally retracted the previous day.
Liu Pengyu, spokesman with the Chinese embassy in Washington, called on the US to “shorten the list of problems and lengthen the list of cooperation” between the two countries.
“The US should thoroughly correct its erroneous practices, stop its discriminatory policies and unfair measures against Chinese companies and create a fair, just and non-discriminatory environment,” he added.
