A father in eastern China who bought a 15 yuan (US$2) bag of clams and buried them on a beach for his daughters to dig up as a game has delighted mainland social media.
According to Shandong TV, the father took a bag of clams hidden in a backpack and buried them along a beach in eastern China’s Shandong province on June 27. The scene was captured in a video posted online.
His two small daughters were close-by playing on the beach with a net and a shovel and soon found the buried clams, then excitedly presented their “trophies” to him.
The 10-second video clip has gone viral in China, with 9 million views on Weibo and 7 million on Douyin. Many people praised the father for creating a fun game for his daughters.
