A video of a mainland social media blogger picking up rubbish in a wealthy district of Hong Kong has caused a flurry of interest online in the city and nationwide.

The video – which runs for about a minute – was posted last week on a person’s Xiaohongshu account under the title “Picking up money in a wealthy area of Hong Kong, so easy!”

The blogger, who has more than 2,700 followers on the platform, mainly shares funny anecdotes about life.

His profile shows that he is 32 years old and lives in Shenzhen, a city in southeast China’s Guangdong province, which borders Hong Kong.

A clip of him picking up rubbish in a well-to-do area of Hong Kong is his most-watched video.
