Driver trapped in truck cab after crash on Hong Kong’s Ting Kau Bridge

An injured truck driver was trapped in his cab after a collision involving two other vehicles on Hong Kong’s Ting Kau Bridge in the New Territories on Wednesday, with the accident forcing the closure of its Kowloon-bound lanes for three hours.
The driver had to be freed from the mangled cab of the container truck by firefighters.
He was taken to to Yan Chai Hospital in Tsuen Wan for treatment for what was said to be a slight leg injury.

Police received a report at 9.27am that a heavy truck had collided with a construction truck and a car on the Kowloon-bound side of the bridge.
Kowloon-bound lanes of the bridge closed to traffic at about 10.30am and reopened at 1.25pm. Affected bus routes gradually returned to normal.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
