The socially conscious tale about family trauma and student suicides was nominated for three awards – best supporting actor, new director and editing.

The first-time director, son of Deputy Chief Secretary Warner Cheuk Wing-hing, said at the ceremony at Hong Kong’s Xiqu Centre that he owed a “huge thank you” to the cast and crew for making the film.

“I feel all of your love and care,” he said. “This award doesn’t belong to me. It belongs to us.”
