Police said no casualties were reported.

Emergency personnel were called to the site on Kimberly Road in Tsim Sha Tsui soon after the incident at 9.30am.

A source familiar with the case said the raised crane became unstable while moving, causing the entire truck to flip on its side.

He suspected the incident occurred because of insufficient traction on the muddy ground at the site.

The crane arm fell across Knutsford Terrace, striking the first-floor podium of a residential block and damaging the fence and some outdoor furniture, he said.
