Three diners were rushed to hospital after a tabletop gas stove at a Hong Kong hotpot restaurant exploded on Friday.
The incident took place at a ground-floor restaurant in Times Tower on Jaffe Road in Wan Chai shortly before 1pm.
According to the force, a 21-year-old woman and her 23-year-old boyfriend were injured by flying fragments.
A spokesman said the woman had cut wounds on her chest and left arm, while her boyfriend suffered neck injuries.

“Another diner, a 40-year-old woman, complained of ringing in her ears due to the loud sound of the explosion,” he said.
All the victims were taken to Ruttonjee Hospital in Wan Chai for treatment.
The force said the three victims were seated at two different tables, adding that they were investigating whether the gas stove that exploded was from one of these tables.
Police did not say how many diners and staff were in the restaurant at the time of the incident.
The spokesman said officers from the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department were also called to the scene to investigate the cause of the explosion.
