In times of constant change, not only tech start-ups but also NGOs would find it important to innovate.
Wofoo Group executive chairman Joseph Lee Chung-tak said he believed charities needed new ideas as much as the corporate sector did.
“If we don’t keep on having new ideas, we will be replaced,” he said. “This is what I have learnt as a businessman.”
The entrepreneur, who founded his first company in 1980 at the age of 29, said he was keen to share his experience of running a business and help NGOs in the city stay ahead.
Wofoo Foundation, established by him in 1997, has partnered with Operation Santa Claus, the annual fundraising campaign jointly organised by the South China Morning Post and public broadcaster RTHK, in providing leadership training for aspiring NGO executives.
